The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen - Book Review

Thursday, May 22, 2014 0

Macy was expecting to just stay home and study her SAT words during the summer until she met the catering company at one of her mom's parties. Macy was instantly intrigued. The different members of Wish became Macy's friends and help her step out of her comfort zone and have fun this summer, but is that a good thing?
I very much enjoyed this book. I felt it was very relatable, and I think most people will be able to find some way they can relate to the main character Macy. This book was made more for the female reader so more girls will be able to relate to it. I loved how the author made this so that it was an easy read but it was still interesting. It was overall a great book. I have read a lot of books by this author and this was one of the better ones. I would definitely recommend it.

Gemma is a very pretty girl who lives in Capri with her father, Brian, and her older sister, Harper. Three tourists came to Capri during the summer: Penn, Lexi, and Thea. They were the prettiest girls the town had ever seen, but everyone thought there was something strange going on with them, especially after four teenage boys had gone missing since they had been there. Follow Gemma on the journey of becoming a part of these girls clique, and how it changes her life forever.
This was one of the best books I have every read. It is a part of a series and I have not had the chance to read the other books in the series but I will when I can. I could really relate to Gemma and I could imagine it all happening to me or my sister. The author kept me interested throughout the book, the beginning was slightly boring and it took me a little while to really push and get past it, but I’m glad I did. I could like see everything in my mind like a movie because of the vivid descriptions the author gave. I used this book for an English project and it was super easy because I finished the book relatively fast and then I could work on the project for longer. This book is made more for the female reader, but I’m sure there’s a guy who might enjoy it. I recommend it to everyone, I even gave it to one of my friends and she loved it to. Great summer read!
